Community Outreach Programs

Each academic year, professionals from the Child Language Center are available to provide teacher-training programs at area preschools. The goal of this project is to train preschool teachers to identify and refer children with suspected speech and language problems, prepare preschool directors to integrate this training into personnel and childcare practices, provide speech/language and hearing screening to children in participating schools, and inform families in the school about speech and language development and the key role it plays in academic and social success.
